N52 ccv delete mag valve cover

Has anyone deleted their ccv system from n52 with mag valve cover? I have a 2006 330i with the n52. Can I just plug the return to crank, add filter by the vent on valve cover and plug the heating element connection on intake manifold? I understand the emissions aspect but that's not an issue. Reason why I want to do this is that I changed the whole system about 60k miles ago and i noticed excessive oil consumption. Quart per 2500 miles if not more. No leaks anywhere. No ccv means no expensive hoses. What do you think?

I did this once on my last E46. Took a couple iterations of development though, and I'm not sure if the steps you've outlined are the ones I had followed. I would be interested in doing the same to this E90 however. Reducing complexity and getting rid of that stuff under the IM would be nice

How did you get it done on your e46? Did you have any other connections besides the vent at valve cover and return to the crank?

This was about 4 years ago, so I don't remember exactly. I might have done what this chap did, and vent to atmo from the VC
