OK I drive 72 miles to work every day and here is what I have come up with, BTW I have 26,500 miles on her.
85 Mph = 27.5 Mpg 80 Mph = 28.2 Mpg 75 Mph = 29.7 Mpg (my compromize) 72 Mph = 30.5 Mpg 70 Mph = 30.9 Mpg 68 Mph = 31.9 Mpg 65 Mph = 28.7 Mpg ( because of hills and lugging the engine) This is a mix of 35 miles of up and down hills and the rest is flat ground all in 6th with a 6MT. if I just do the hills subtract 5 Mpg from above. I usally go 450+ miles on a tank of gas and the worst I got was 380 miles but that was driving way to fast and yes a 330i 6 MT can break 150 MPH on the speedo. |

325i MT
i average 24 MPG city/freeway combined. the flatter the roads the better gas mileage i get. the highest that i have gotten is around 32-34 MPG on the freeway without traffic around 70-75mph. (if im not mistaken. these are just estimates from what i can remember)

First post--new 325i owner here. Glad to see I'm not only one getting crappy mileage. Less than 350 miles on the car, and I have yet to see a figure over 18 MPG. Considering that's about what my big-@$$ Chevy Astro gets, I was a little concerned. It sounds like things get better as the both the car and driver break in a bit. I hope so.

Hrm. 6MT, spirited mountain driving, 500 miles on the ODO, I'm averaging ~24mpg according to the computer. If you watch that little instantaneous MPG meter below the tach, it's easy to see what sorts of actions cause you to suck gas. Anything resulting in a kickdown in the step will probably be painful for mileage.

~5K miles and still 19-20MPG in a 30-70% city-Highway driving, and is not getting better. I tried Manual mode, DS, and D mode and still all of them very close. I tried to be very conservative in each one of them. Could this be a problem with the car? I noticed that the car is vibrating at each star. Please help!!

Yeah I am only getting 12L/100km, which equates to about 20MPG - pretty crappy considering my friend gets 13.5 L/100 in his E55 AMG.

I get 22-25 mpg driving around the bay area with about 5k miles on the odometer. My wife gets 20-22 with a little more driving in traffic and more "spirited" driving than I drive.

14mpg average
-325i Step -Mostly in D mode, not an aggressive driver in the city. Hardly use manual mode -4,250 miles on the clock -Average 25-20 miles a day, heavy city driving -reset with every full tank I though the consumption would've gotten better out of the break-in period but it has stayed at the 13-15mpg range Thinking an unscheduled oil change at 6k miles might help

Your first 1K or so, it's going to be skewed as your engine is still breaking in. I was averaging 14-17 on my first 1000 miles and now at 5500 I'm up to about 24-26 (mix of 70/30 highway/city).

Anyone compare the computer avg to real world?
IE: reset computer and trip at next fill up.. then calculate mileage at following fillup and compare to computer avg? |

This is pretty interesting, I have had my car now for 400miles 330i MT, and I am getting 22mpg and I have a lead foot to say the least.
