2008 BMW 335i  [10.00]
I've been driving more moderately for the past 3 days, keeping up with traffic, and i've averaged 27.4 mpg by shifting myself below 2k while I usually average 19.2 in D driving aggressively.
Edit: My average speed is 33 just for an idea of highway vs city. I'd say it's 50/50 with lots of hills.

i am getting 26 mpg driving mostly freeway while maintaining my speed from 60-70 mph on the freeway

if you're getting 19.2 MPG driving "aggressively", you are not driving aggressively

A bit of hyperbole. But both BMW cars and motorcycles historically have taken a while to be fully broken in. For the 4 new Bimmers I've owned, the engine seems to loosen up and gas mileage improves after about 6,000 miles. For the opposed twin Beemers, it's closer to 20,000.
