LOL!! Calm down kiddo, it didn't annoy me at all - i just didn't want the thread being turned into a Q&A session on the A7

Thanks for the comparison-appreciated!
I've an E91 335d and having lusted over an RS4 Avant for years-your purchase has opened up a right can of worms for me! I'm having Simon at Emaps fiddle with his remap to give me a little bit more of what I'm after,so hopefully this will put the RS4 lust (temporarily!) to bed. But those looks, that sound... |

A mapped 335d may well give the straight line pace of an RS4 (or maybe beyond?) but lets not forget the RS4 was an M3 competitor and brings with it the pedigree to match (or at least compete). Out of the box it's going to give a far more visceral (big word for 3am!) experience. If your heart craves an RS4 (or any other car of that ilk) a mapped 335d with similar go will only satisfy for so long.

Yes,that's what I'm thinking. The 335 is a great vehicle for lots of eventualities.
What I'm trying not to do is heavily modify it.I did that with my Impreza when I should have looked elsewhere. Anyway,I'm happy at the mo and I'll see what Simon can come up with! In the meantime,I'll be owning one vicariously via this thread! |
