The DTC light only seems to illuminate when engine power is cut but not the active braking, can anyone confirm that?

The wheel brakes won't be applied with the power still fully on (normally).
But suppose it may be possible to have brake intervention whilst off the power (back end loose due to lift off oversteer)

So at part throttle mid corner the brake opposite to the wheel loosing traction is applied but becuase I'm only at part throttle the DTC light won't illuminate?

I only ask as I've entered a corner and expected to have to correct but instead I can feel the rear suddenly stabilise and the DTC certainly didnt illuminate.

And no it wasnt lift off oversteer before you ask!

I'm not sure.

I can always generate the lamp by accelerating over some bridge joints around here.

I don't find it good to be looking down whilst attempting some 'drifting' lol
Have a play on the grass and report back mate?

If you get extended intervention, the lamp flashes twice a second, regularly.
Its always in delay too, you feel the slip and the lamp lags a second or so behind the event.

I've got a 320d, I never need "extended" intervention
