Good place for full detail and engine bay cleaning?

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone can suggest a good place for a full detail and engine bay cleaning in the Boston area. Once salt season is over, my car is in dire need of a good detail. I usually use the Klasse kit on it once a year but it would be good to do a professional cleaning after all these years.

If you guys could let me know what was done and approximately how much you paid it would be really helpful.

Thanks!

Unique Car Care or Protective Solutions, those are the only 2 places I'd take my car, outside of downtown Boston but it's worth the drive when you pick up your car

I'd recommend staying away from Protective Solutions...

I only go to Driven Perfection in Weymouth for my detailing. Alex is the best. If you need more along the lines of a true paint correction, I've heard Unique Car Care is amazing, although expensive

I've gone to both UCC & Protective Solutions and they both have done phenomenal work, why would you recommend staying away from Protective Solutions, I can vouch 100% for their work

For starters, their detailer is a known scam artist. He's sold car parts to people, accepted money and then never delivered the parts - claiming he shipped them and then never providing tracking info etc.. Just Google Ian Haan and I'm sure you'll find plenty of info. His reputation got so bad that he actually had to change his Facebook name to Ian Andrew so people couldn't find him. He was trained as a detailer less than a year ago. He's burned through paint, left wax residue on cars, etc...just a very amateur operation. Not to mention they pass off wax jobs as full detailing. If you want to trust them to work on your car, by all means. There are too many "detailing" shops opening up that do more harm than good. For the amount of money these guys charge, I would much rather take my car to a professional shop.

Thanks I knew about his BS regarding selling parts and ripping people off. I figured as the other guy who seems into track and autoX was in charge it would be ok. Probably a reason he stays off the forums and is only on facebook. I will stay away. Thanks. I met the kid and his chick. Seemed nice but his car had major cosmetic issues and they had knock off parts etc.

If you want the best detail for the lowest price, you'd be crazy not to check out Ephex detailing. Chris is a one man show but he is an absolute perfectionist with every car. Would recommend 10/10.
