Thanks, Irv. I had a feeling it would be Charleston, SC, and then on a truck to S. FL. So what goes to Brunswick, GA then?

According to the (800) #, my car is also at the port, waiting for a shipping vessel. I'm in S. FL, so I'm not sure which ship they'll put my car on and which US port it will eventually arrive at...either Brunswick, GA or Charleston, S. Carolina, perhaps?

i just called and it changed from yesterdays status to released to a carrier and awaiting transportation to the port of exit!!

I've been "at port of exit" since Monday, but nothing on ww's site yet. When does the VIN get put into the system? Is it when a spot is booked, or only after the car's actually *on* a ship?

The next ship to leave for the east coast isn't until tomorrow, 10/26, and the last one to leave before that was this past Sunday, 10/22. As for the VIN number, I would think it gets into the system after cars are physically on a ship. And I think I read somewhere it might take a day or two to be able to track your car's VIN number after its loaded onto a ship.

this is the first time i've ever had to wait for a car...i usually go to the lot and walk away with a car/truck within a weeks time. Never "special ordered" a car, more importantly a bimmer.

That's not good for me because that probably means there's a lot of cars ahead of me waiting for a ship so I might not be able to get on tomorrow's ship.

Finally made it to the port! Hopefully I'll make the ship today. although Neon21db's fears are my own.

This is my first time ordering, and my first BMW, and the wait is extremely painful, HOWEVER, I am getting exactly what I want. Saw a grey (space gray?) 325xi in the sunrise this morning, and it looked AWESOME!

Just spoke with someone from the 800 number and they said my car prob won't be on a ship until the middle of next week. My car has been at the port of exit since 10/24 and will probably be on the Courage which is leaving on 10/31; 5 more days at least.
