It really doesn't change to " Scheduled for Production" until the day before your order goes to the body shop. That's what happened to me last week..Thursday it was "on order", Friday went to "Scheduled for Production". If you want more detailed info, call the 800#...they will be more than happy to provide you with updated info.

Yeah, it's always a couple of days behind. Not to make you feel bad, but it gets worse after the car leaves the factory. I had both my E90 and E91 in my garage before the OC said "at your BMW center"...

After I get confirm on the date for PCD, I think I'll be able to take my stress level down a notch. At least today, I verified that my car is routed to SC.

Actually, not 4/7...planning on sometime in 4/07. I heard the way it goes is that the performance center won't schedule a delivery until your car gets on a boat, this way they know it's definitely on it's way and can schedule accordingly. If that''s the case, hopefully I'll be on the ship that leaves Monday for SC and should get a confirm on my delivery date.

Gotcha. That makes sense. Are you scheduled for estimated completion 3/2? So was I last I heard... I think making a Monday ship would be next to impossible (not to piss on your parade or anything). Bremerhaven is a long way from Munich! I would estimate 1 week to make it to a ship. It was almost a month from the time our E91's ship left port until we took delivery.

If PCD cars are delivered straight there from the SC port that might help. Sometimes your car can spend a week in the VDC after it comes off the ship.

AFAIK, the cars get to Bremerhaven by rail. E92's are made in Regensburg, a little closer to the port than Munich.

I've got production # 3592xxx, 328 convertible, 800 number says production will be complete on March 6.

I wonder if those with a similar production number for a 335, and are showing a delayed production, if that's related to the posts about an engine shortage for the 335?

0744 is a 328i E90..your VIN will have VA33 as the 4-7 digits which codes for the N52 engine. Best of luck!

In the end, I'm not sure what to think about the N51 / N52 issue. One thing's for sure though, we've definitely blown it way out of proportion!

Happens all the time; after they put it through a spin-dry cycle at the VDC, it's good as new. The angel eyes have a dizzy look for the first 6000 miles though.
