Perfect Fitment for 18" Square Setup?

Hey All, I'm currently running 19" VMR V710's on my E92 335i xdrive LCI with KW V1 coilovers and 10mm spacers in the rear. The rear fitment is perfect, but I want to switch to a square 18" setup for more neutral steering and a lighter weight package. I don't want to lose the flush fitment I have, what's the best wheel size + offset + tire size for the setup I'm looking for?

I'm looking at these Flow One F1's: https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...+Sport+Package

They come in 18x8.5 et 30 or et 40. Also open to looking at other options, I can't find a ton of info on the Flow's, but they look great and are pretty light weight for the price.

Whether you go with either of the 8.5" options or the 9" option, you'll still need spacers to get them where you want them...both front and rear.

Have you checked out the Apex offerings? Although more expensive, they seem like a solid choice...maybe they'll have to BF deals going on soon.

Yeah I spent a ridiculous amount of time researching this last night, from what I've found the front struts can get in the way pretty easily, and I guess more so for me because I'm on KW's which I think are bigger than stock. I'd love to go 18x9 square setup, but I read the only offset for 9" width in the front that works is et30. Apex makes some 18x9 et 30 wheels, but I was hoping to go to 5 spoke wheels this time around since I already have a set of VMR v710 mesh style.

I'm afraid 18x8.5 is going to look really skinny and weird in the rear, but there are hardly any 18x9 options out there!

Looking at your signature, you run 18x8.5 et 35 with 10 in the front and 20 in the rear spacers? How is the fitment?

I definitely have room to go more aggressive, but I haven't really felt like messing with it.

I've had my eye on 17" Apex ARC-8s for a while now but haven't pulled the trigger yet given my impossible list of "need to meet" demands...I want to run their most aggressive level of concavity but that means stepping up to 9" wheels...problem with that is I also want to run 245/45/17 square and the A/S Michelins I want will likely look stretched on a 9" rim and I'm going for a meaty look.

Ugh, decisions.

Happy to help OP. If you are looking for a "perfect" square fitment, then we highly recommend going with a 9" wheel all around. We recommend going with the 18x9" ET30 (or ET31) front and rear, paired with 235/40-18 or 255/35-18 tires. You are correct in that KW suspension do limit inner clearance. However, our 18x9" ET30 wheels are a great solution as they do provide great clearance even with KW's.

If you would like to get a complete picture of what fitments can work for your car, you can check out our comprehensive fitment guide here.

Thanks for your help! If I ran 18x9 et 35 - how could I make that work up front? Also what are your thoughts on running a 255 upfront? The xdrive steering rack can feel a little slow/heavy imo, I'm worried a wider front won't help matters

Might need a 5mm spacer to clear the strut, depending how big those kwv1 springs are. My BC springs are way smaller diameter than stock.

I have 255 square for summer on an xi and the steering isn't too heavy at all. And yes the xi rack is terrible. Shame they wouldn't put the sport rack in as its quicker.

I can confirm that - on my 2006' E92 335i I have 18x9" ET30 wheels, KW V2 coils, no spacers, currently with winter tires 235/40/18 and no issues in the front (rear obviously will be okay with far wider tires hehe).

Planning to put 250/640R18 slicks on them for the sprint (650 will rub, 660 will destroy lol)

Thanks again to Apex for the great guide

Can you guys make a 5 double spoke! I trust Apex as a brand and I'd love to order my next set of wheels from you guys, but I've already got a set of mesh wheels and want to go for a different look
