06 325i surging/jerking under hard acceleration

So I have a 06 325i stock other than lowering kit wheels and muffler delete. 263k miles 6mt. I’ve been having this problem for ab 5 months(since I purchased) where it studders and surges on hard accel. Starts doing it around 3 - 3500rpms and keeps doing it untill I shift it never stops or gets better. This happens cold or hot never really changes however I can unplug my Maf sensor and the car runs pretty much like new. Doesn’t skip a beat but does have check engine light on of course. At first I thought it was my maf sensor so I bought one from auto zone threw it on there and it didn’t change a bit. Any help or advise would be appreciated thanks..

Go to nearest Advance Auto, AutoZone, etc. (even if you have to drive to Knoxville or Greeneville) and get Fault Codes in DME (Engine Control Module) Fault Memory read. It would ALSO be helpful if you could get Freeze Frame Data for DME Faults. Instead of posting what is presumably a Zip Code (37821), you would make it EASIER for others to render HELP if you stated WHERE in the World you are located.

When you post back with DME Fault Codes (Hex-codes), please ALSO provide Last-7 Characters of your VIN so we can provide wiring diagrams for MAF Sensor to DME wiring, and other information from ISTA that is relevant to YOUR vehicle.

Is it automatic? If it's AT change the trans fluid and add 2oz of shutter stop. I just fixed what sounds like the same issue and it worked.
