Seat Heat Retrofit Coding?

I finally found a set of heated power sport seats for my 07 335i, which had sport seats but no heat.

I put them in, and to my surprise the driver's side just worked with no intervention. No luck on the passenger side.

All of the other functions on the passenger side work - all the power functions work, no airbag, etc. Just no heat!

I looked for missing fuses and added what seemed to be missing. Still nothing.

I've got INPA and a Foxwell that can't see the passenger seat module. HELP!

you'll need to bring addition 4 wires from car to passenger seat
you can check my answer in seat heating retrofit topic

ptpending is correct. Assuming you have a 4 door, 2 doors are different, you will need to add 2-4 wires from the fuse box area to the passenger seat yellow connector. The drivers seat heat is controlled by a seat module which is already hooked to the bus for the memory function. The pass side heat is turned on by the junction box. See page 13 of the attached PDF. My car also needed the switched power run to the pass side. The attached PDF is for a car that has no wiring. You will probably find your car has most of it. Check your fuses to make sure both connectors are on the back side. And coding will be required once the wiring is done.

There is a big DIY on this in the DIY or maintenance subforum
its under seat retrofits as a header.

Thanks so much guys! At least I think I understand what it needs.

Basic question: what's the best method to add the plugs in the car side of the seat harness? Will I need to source a plug that has all of the wires I need or can I simply add the plugs in the harness I already have? Looking down the car side harness, for example, I can see that plug pin 1 for the PWM signal isn't there. I'm assuming I shouldn't just strip some wire, stuff it in the hole, and hope for the best.

Hello, I recently purchased a 2010 335D that has non sport seats with power but not heated (I don’t know if it has memory, if it does I don’t know how to use it).

I’ve read most of this thread and I just want to verify my findings.

I purchased an OEM divers seat base and it has the heater element built in with the plug. Am I correct in that all I need to is plug it into the seat module and install the heated seats switch?

If I wanted the passenger seat to have heat as well am I correct in saying that I would need:
Seat base with heater element
Heated seat module
And a reprogramming of the vehicles features
Some sort of wiring harness

Is there an OEM part number for this harness?
How/where is the harness routed?
What’s required for the reprogramming? Is it DIY?
And lastly, where are these modules located?

you'll need to replace/add seat modules because your drivers module do not have heating logic and contacts on PCB, and your passenger seat simply do not have seat heating module
