No because if you count the 2 really really really stupid mistakes by MERC/HAM last year (brake magic and hungary) he would have gotten his 8th WDC. Just do the math.
Last year on average I think MERC had the better car overall.
They managed to change the rules so that RB couldn't use the bendy wing, and after the last engine swap HAM's car was incredeably fast.

So merc lost due to their own faults.


And MAX wins again!!!!!!


And RUS gave HAM some driving lessons....again. His result is due to his own decisions, we heard everything on the radio about staying out. Very very very well done!

Result is pretty much what I expected. I wonder why Ferrari is running so much more downforce than RB? Makes them such a sitting duck at the end of the long straights and then they are unable to fight back when they’re behind, even with DRS.

The same thing could be said about max, if he didn't try to control every single lap then he would have wrapped up the championship a long long time ago.


No, merc didn't have an even remotely competitive car until silverstone where they launched their upgrades.


Ham didn't have many options with strat, so not sure how you can even compare that. George clearly had a long lasting tire, so he had the flexibility to go long for a safety car.



The redbull porpoised alot today, so not sure if you can even call their floor an innovation now.

It helps when you have a car that has a 10 - 15 kph speed advantage, you guys made a really big deal out of it with hamilton last year (despite the mercedes never having this much of a delta to redbull in terms of top speed) so I expect you guys to keep that same energy here.

Their siimulations might have shown that this was the fastest setup, leclerc did get pole. But once max got ahead it was just over.
