I just wanted to post my great experience at a shop in Mountain View called Sleek Motoring. Sam is really great to deal with and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure that I was satisfied with the service.

He installed some Koni FSD struts for me, and swapped out HR Sports for OE Sport springs. He also swapped out the factory spring perch for the lowering spring perches in the front. The car handles better and no longer bounces, his work was superb.

Here is the shop's address

2362 Old Middlefield Way
Ste C
Mountain View, CA 94043
(650) 968-1911

Auto Innovations in Milpitas is great. It's a drive to get to but if you're willing to make it out here then they're an awesome place to go to.

Anyone have any recommendations for a mechanic in the South SF Bay area? I need to get my thermostat replaced and don't have the time to do it myself, along with a few other minor maintenance tasks that need to be done.

Santa Clara area is preferred, but willing to go a bit further for quality.

Car is long out of warranty (just hit 100k 2 weeks ago) so no dealers for me.

They can do anything from oem service to race prep to track support. They pride them selfs on being a "one stop shop" so you can drop off your car for anything and they will take care of the rest. Nice shop, great knowledge, well recommended (Won awards for 2010 and 2011 for best auto shop in town)

I would like to add Bavarian Auto to the list as potential shops. From personal experience, I've been calling them for 2 days straight and even left a message to no avail. From what I hear, they do excellent jobs. If I do get a reply from them, I'll be sure to update my post.

I ended up getting my 19" wheels and tires mounted and balanced at kartunz in pleasanton. The guy did a great job and did it fairly quickly. Total cost was $100, which I thought was a very good price!

I am looking for someone/shop to install my suspension, Mach III seems the one closer for me.
Anyone has experience with MachIII? they have mixed reviews on yelp.

Someone already suggest Speed Element, but I think its in Fremont.

i don't visit the regional forums very much, and this would be of great help to those who are seeking norcal shops. please follow a similar format and additional/more specific categories or changes of categories (if you see fit) would be great (5/14/09).

UPDATED 7/20/2010--thanks johnhk79
Wow!! it is very useful post. You explain the address of all auto repair shops of San Jose that offers very high quality services. I have read the address of all shops. I think this thread is very helpful for those who have enough knowledge of auto repair shops. So, thanks for this useful information.

just had my alignment done at auto innovations in milpitas. Steve and Orlando are great guys. Only took about 1/2 hr and the price was excellent. highly recommend them for alignments. they also gave me a printout of the before and after alignment readings as well.

had my eibach springs and zsp shocks installed at speed element in fremont. great price and great installation.

L&M Body Shop
3242 De La Cruz Blvd.
(408)988-9300

Repairs, painting, and frame straightening.

They might have more than the listed service but I've taken two parts for paint only and that alone will keep me coming back. Backed by a lifetime warranty, I feel pretty secure relying on them and their pricing isn't too bad either. $400 for paint, install, and custom-fitting of my front bumper as well as ordering the washers.

Very helpful--thanks. Question--how much should one expect to pay for a great tint job in the Bay area on a 335? ballpark here....
