What would you guys suggest for a 1M?

Stock turbos/exhaust.

Running mhd tune and vrsf charge pipe. Not interested in chasing big power.

I’m in Australia and it does get warm, but car is a weekend toy with occasional track day.

Thank you

I would get Wagner EVO I Competition ... Works really well on the street and the track.

Other valid options are the VRSF 5" & Active Autowerke

Would recommend VRSF 7" at a minimum for your area.

I went with the Wagner evo 2 competition on my z4 and thought it was the best option but I have only stage 1 turbos at 22 psi and the IAT are going very high...Dimitri of BQ tells me to go with the VRSF 7 HD. I hope to get better results...Not sure if the race 7.5 is not the best choice...

There is my log with the wagner evo 2 competition

I would not go with a 7.5" intercooler with the mods you have. Its meant to be used with single turbos pushing 700whp+

The 7" HD is a bigger intercooler than what you currently have with a high fin density. It should give you better IAT control

I'm going full-bolt on minus downpipes (future, possibly high-flow cats) with custom tune. I am not going to be using alternative fuels, and I am going to use my stock turbos until they break (and then upgrade). In addition, I need black for stealth, so VRSF is a no go for me.

In that case, which of these?
-Wagner EVO II pro
-Wagner EVO II competition
-Evolution Raceworks (Basic Kit)
-Ambient Thermal Management

Saw this,I'm looking to upgrade my IC and plan is to push about 600rwhp,then a race Intercooler would be too much then?

You could do race intercooler with this kind of power

I have the ATM intercooler, the install was extremely easy, no cutting just slip out the old parts & slip in the new ones. On a lift I did the install in under 40 minutes & I've never done one before. Logs have always looked really good around ambient to worst case 10 degrees above. "I've had a few runs start off at higher temps & dip below those starting temps throughout a good portion of the run & than go back up around 10 above towards the end of the run on e85. Slightly better than this log which is not mine.

Bigger, thicker isn't always better when shopping for an intercooler. A smaller cooler with a better fin pack is better than a monster cooler with a sub par fin pack.

I'm not mentioning any intercooler or company (powder coating the fins kinda defeat some of the purpose & regular black spray paint as well) I will let someone else chime in to explain why. I would have it anodized in black

Wow crazy. To match ambient temp or even 10 deg above is something but to go below ambient? What do you have there an AC?

lol. Unless there's meth or water injection it's not physically possible to have temps below ambient. Temps @ ambient with a cooler that small isn't even possible.

Truth, I've only seen below ambient with methanol, it's pretty cool to see haha (no pun intended).

I never said that I had a full run go below ambient but this was my mistake so let me clarify "I've had a few runs start off at higher temps & dip below those starting temps throughout a good portion of the run & than go up around 10 above towards the end of the run on e85.

Here's a better example of what I meant, I seen slightly better logs than this on e85.

When you say small are you referring to thickness?
