Custom made differential cover

During this weekend we already started the draw our custom made differential cover to my 335i differential. Meanwhile i purchased an insideperformance display, which will have two sensors: one is for engine oil pressure and one is for differential oil temperature sensor. This means, we still have to draw a proper inlet for the differential oil temperature sensor.

I really hope we can put this into machining next week.

Sounds like you're doing a CVD (chemical vapor deposition) style coating, yeah?

M3 Body conversation and expansion tank/oil carrier

We have test fitted some M3 body parts in the front yesterday.
Because of the upgraded turbos and pipeing, water pump (cannot seen on the pictures) coolant houses/expansion tank and oil carrier should be relocated to the driver's side. The expansion tank and oil carrier combo comes from f10 530d and their connectors has the right direction. Please also note, that this 530d type water coolant house/expansion tank has the same Screw cap as the 335i type expansion tank, which is essential for the cooling system to be compatible.

Really great project you have going on. Looking forward to follow it.

I have used Zircotec to coated, really great work they are doing. And it works really well.

850Watt performance fan, intercooler and oil cooler

We have fitted the 850Watt BMW Performance fan without the wiring.

My recent intercooler is a little bit larger than the space we have, therefore we have decided to redisin my intercooler. First I have to buy good intercooler core.

We also figured out the oil cooling system. Unfortunatly we cannot use the M3 oil cooler as its location is the same, where our newly designed intercooler will take place. Therefore we picked up a Setrab Pro-line oil cooler, dimensons are: 330mm x 193mm x 50mm, part number: 50-625-7612.
Location of the oil cooler will be on the driver side behind the bumper,
therefore some custom modification is needed around the front wheel arch trim and front air duct.

Custom made DCT Oil Pan

Yesterday we finalized the design of our custom made DCT Oil pan. It looks like OEM, only a few enhancement, like full alu material and heatsink on the back. Machining during the next week.

I love what you doing here mate.

Onemthing a bit dissapointed about is that you are putting a whole m3 body kit on it. its not an m3 and will always be a rep of something its not, its going to be a better car. For the money you could have gone very custom and had a 1 of a kind car no one else anywhere will have. Theres thousands of m3 cars around and I think its a shame that such an amazing project will be seen as "just an m3" when it deserved a heap load more respect.

So you know thats a massive complement not an insult.

You car is to good to be deemed the same as other m3's.

Custom made intercooler

Due to space restriction, we have to redesign our intercooler. Core has arrived yesterday. We use a two-channel core.

I think it's great he's trying to utilize as many OEM parts as possible, most of the super custom 3 series body kits I have seen look horrible and waaaay too over the top. IMO.

I dissagree. Some are nice and subtle and not seen often. M3's are everywhere. I wouldnt want my car thats had so long spent on it andnsuch a vast ammount of money seen as an m3 thats seen on every corner.

I wouldn't say they're on every corner compared to a 335. If there was an m3 on every corner there'd be 100 335's on that same corner. But thats aside the point, anyways this car OP built is on a whole other level even beyond a m3. Needs a whole new badge lol

Exactly my point. Why badge and give it the look of an m3 wjrn its a far greater car. It should be as custom on the outside as the inside.
