Today I have been mostly ...
Going through Super Unleaded like there was no tomorrow.
Wondering what to do today I strolled out into the back garden ... hmmmm ... been out playing Ari Vatenen all morning/afternoon Just bloody brilliant. Getting back into the rhythm and feel of her. Barking carbs, sliding rear, smell of hot oil/exhaust/petrol in the cabin .. squealing competition brakes, roaring engine, quickshift gear changes with a switch-like clutch. Roundabouts are just a big playground - next addition will be an LSD. Strangely nothing has had a slightest go yet ??? Corsas just melt away and hide All petrolled out Now suffering post-hooligan guilt (not too much though ... still smirking like a raving madman) Back to the BMW this week. D.

Dave, looks like you had fun today in the RS2K.
Lovely weather for it also. Ive seen some nice motors all weekend. One being a Lotus Cortina.

Hi Dave. Did an afternoon at Ari's track in Finland as good bye present. Did the low speed track as i couldn't justify the risk of writing off a car on an expense report. Great fun though, and just shows you what difference an LSD makes (but still had to be pulled out of the bushes by a Land Rover)

Thats an original n/a though mine is not the first (Rev. 1) which apprantely weren't great handling wise though first of the Mk. II and mines 3GSTE engine, so not quite the same thing from a purists point of view, not original car and the one that was never made for this country! Don't know where that will stand from a "future classic" point of view

Just cleaned her and she is now tucked up in bed. Sparkling clean. parts ticking as they cool down and eager to go again ....
Still smirking inside though I'll take her out again soon. [pat ... pat] Back to the BMW runabout this week. D.

Sometimes the stream of posts do the oddest things, after a while you stop paying attention to who posted and just assume you are following the same conversation...
This one confused me a bit |
