Subed. Oh man this unreal right now. . I cant wait this combined with the PPK flash should be off the chain.
So will this make my COBB AP V3 useless or can we use it to load up the flashes as we like instead of using a PC?

Cobb uses a different file format so you will not be able to load MHD maps with the AP. Cobb's AP value has already dropped with the announcement and is continuing to drop. Also there is not a reason to try and retain anything about the PPK. You will have the option to have the overrun feature that gives you the exhaust sound if you like it.

So just so everyone understands, MHD looks at your latest assembly and if you have the PPK it will use the same PPK table defaults when you flash stage 0 map. If you don't change anything with the PPK exhaust tables, the burble stays and it sounds amazing. You can find the N55 PPK flash information by doing a Google search. If anyone needs the coding tools, PM me. If you already have MHD installed, you can do the PPK update in 4 min with WinKFP. It doesn't effect MHD and you can write your MHD map back to the car in 4 min. WinKFP just writes the map section and updates your UIF information.

I have 2013 135i n55 Pure Stage 2....
Currently running ppk with ESS flash Stage 1... not really utilising the turbo as its 15psi tapering to 11 at redline.. Who knows when ESS will have stage 2 done so I'm really excited about MHD and ready to switch across as soon as it's realised for my ECU.... Is December for my model ecu which will probably need to be removed?? WedgePerformance |

Nice info! Glad to hear my PPK is perfectly fine staying the way it is, and I can just put MHD on top of it!

I think it's well on it's way and could potentially surpass it. As you might know I'm a big N54 fan and have a ST 335. But I'm having a blast with my new 2013 135i MSport DCT. Can't wait to mod it out. I'm looking for 500+ with the Pure Stg2.

I was lead to believe that the N55 stock snail was comparatively anemic, thus leading me to think that the turbo itself is smaller than what comes with the N55 M2. However I was recently made aware that this is false and that the turbo in the M2 is in fact the same. Is this true? Are the turbo truly the same? If so, can we expect the same power/power curve with our E-Series N55 as in the M2? Has the unlocking of Valvetronic and VANOS systems allowed for more "untapped" power? With that said, can we expect an increase in stock snail power for the N55 than we're currently observing? |

The F series n55 turbo is the same as the M2, not the E series. There is a 30whp difference between the two. This tune will be for E series, so you are comparing apples to oranges.

When you say surpass it potentially, are we talking about on stock turbo or upgraded turbo? I know we finally get things that Cobb never could support, but if I'm understanding we could break 400whp on a stock turbo?
