N54 DCT Gearbox oil leak

Hi guys, my DCT box is leaking around the oil pan and I’m looking at getting the pan & filter replaced with fresh oil

Searching around online I’ve seen this isn’t a straight forward job as there’s no way of measuring the oil as it’s supposed to be lifetime oil.

Has anyone had this done on there DCT box and even better if anyone could recommend somewhere in surrey/sussex to get it done and how much I should expect to pay?

I had mine done at a place in telford. They just topped up the oil. It will cost you a fortune to replace all 11 litres. Its 45quid a litre. They replaced the pan and the screws. You can get the kit from BMW to do it, well they did......

Do you know how they just topped it up if they replaced the pan? Surely all the oil would of come out?

I assume they drained it and put it back in.

Just checked my invoice says

Gearbox sump- £122
Bolt set- 36
Repair kit- Pressure filter- 46
DCTF1+ oil 2 litres at 91

With labour + VAT the total cost was £590.

Autotech performance in Telford.

Its been flawless since. This was May last year.
