There is still some work that needs to be done. With the new mapping, we can retain boost in the intercooler pipe very well. But the 6MTs still have to close and open their throttle during the shift. And there seems to be a 0.2-0.5 second delay between applied throttle and actual throttle opening. Many of your guys have felt this before. Especially when running hard and shifting from 3rd to 4th (regardless of tune, piggyback or flash).

We have found what I believe to be a way to solve that issue. And I'm testing/developing that fix on my 6MT right now. I'll be posting logs soon to show what I mean. It's not surprise that, all this time, 6ATs have had the advantage in straight line racing. The 6MTs were completely losing power for a few tenths of a second EVERY time they shifted.

Not for long though

not to mention the crap shifter just can't be shifted really fast compared to, say, a slick 6MT from a Japanese car.

too bad Vishnu doent have a test drive program.... There are some things I just dont like about My JB3. In fact its starting to really get annoying.

But I cant afford to drop a thousand bucks on a procede to see if I like it better.. Wish I had that kind of coin lying around...

they did have a test program, for a long time...

if u contact shiv he might still honor it. I remember the cost difference for me when i sold my jb3 and had the discounted procede the difference was about 250 bucks. but the price of the jb3 fluctuated so much i doubt it's the same now...

awesome...great job Vishnu...and JP, that graph looks awesome, can't wait to experience it on my car! This is the reason I drive a 6mt, for it's when you want it, raw performance...I don't like it when I have so many people telling me I should have got an automatic in THIS car, I love driving a manual!

Do you mean that I actually can use these new beta maps with my Rev1, but with only 80% LagFix functionality? (But propably still much better than the 7-29 map which I use now)

maybe it is I duno..... But 10 days hasnt been enough for me to tell if I like the JB3 or not.

My point is a test drive program would be nice... If the procede was better for me I'd buy it... Im not looking for a joyride..... Just an honest comparison on MY 2009.5.... Id have to sell my JB3 o be able to afford it, but whatever.

Right now the JB3 is giving me a partial throttle surging. To terry's credit he is helping me with it, but its irritating...

I think there is somethign different with my 2009.5 car. There arent many of us out there with 2009.5's.

I'll be honest... I went with the JB3 becasuse shiv never once answered a PM, and the guy that works for him who did, gave me nothing but a sales pitch instead of answering my questions....

Guess I'm just not "one of the boys".

Ive driven a JB3 car.. It didnt act like mine is acting.. Thats my point man.. These things I think are doing different things with different softwares on the ECU.

My point is there arent many 2009.5 335i's running a tune. So I dont know if Im alone in this or not.

I'm stuck between PROcede Rev II or JB3. I still don't know which one to get. Both look great and make about the same power on a stock car.

Hey guys you can clear a code on PROcede but you need a BT scan for the JB3 to clear it, right? My car is 2009.7.

Thanks for the fast reply. How about the power gain on a stock car some where around 70 to 80 whp, right?

Yes, that's about right. Although ultimately, it will depend on octane/fuel quality and testing conditions. But typically, we see power go from ~275whp to 335-350whp on an otherwise stock vehicle running 93oct.

But the difference between the PROcede and the competition really doesn't show up on the dyno. It drives vastly different on the road.
