e90...question about 275s...rubbing

so right now i am on sport suspension with 275/35/18 rears, wheels are 18x9.5 et 33( i think). With people in the car i rub on the passenger rear. (got the rear shocks/mounts replaced...better, still slightly rubbing with people in the car). also my rear passenger side sits slightly lower than rear driver side, it doesnt look significant, and ive heard this is normal. but the rubbing seems to be isolated to that side.

Is my tire just too tall? Possible i have a busted spring?

I am about to do front struts and do lowering springs all around. Should i go for a shorter tire? wait and see if some fender rolling/alignment will help? trying to figure out my best course of action so i only have to fix this once!

I appreciate any insight or help u can provide!!

I have same rim and tire size. No rubbing. Set camber at -2.0.

^^^^ What he said!

I've ran 285s WITHOUT any fender roll on my lowered track car. Many factors such as camber, wheel offset, how tall the tire is and what's the sidewall profile, can affect whether you will have rubbing issues or not.

Smile

The main issue is that you are on soft ass stock suspension. But yes, lot's of factors. I am on 265/30-19 and had to roll my rears because it would rubs on bumps with passengers. I am lowered on Bilstein PSS coilovers and fairly low.

SO LCI and Pre-LCI cars have different spacing from hub to fender lip.
The LCI cars have his closer to the fender.
Given the same offset and tire an LCI sedan might rub.

I have 19x9.5 ET33 in the rear on my car with 275/30's and not rubbing.
I have added 5mm spacers to move the tire toward the fender and don't rub unless I have heavy people in the rear.

"unless" being the key word. I don't rub under any condition with them rolled. Plus I just don't see a reason to run 275's personally, just get good tires.
