Was 6fl added to the VO string and default coded to the FRM and cas? Were the USB related strings coded to Aktiv? Do you know if the production date is set at least 03/11? Are you certain it isn't a loose connection or the like?

Lots of variables and possible reasons. Do some research if you are not sure how coding was done or if something was missed. Otherwise you will end up chasing your tail.

Hey,

what i already did : changed the fakra cable and usb socket with the one from my cic.
flashed my combox with winkfp to my VIN.
Open my combox to look for broken connections but looks brand new

Here my VO before Combox retrofit ( after CIC retrofit ):

E91_#0909&ALAT%0A22*VR51$1CA$240$249$302$386$431$4 AD$4AE$507$521$534$540$548$609$6VA$863$868$877$886 $8S2$8S3-B070

Here after my combox retrofit :

E91_#0311&ALAT%0A22*VR51$1CA$240$249$302$386$431$4 AD$4AE$507$521$534$540$548$609$614$615$6AL$6FL$6NF $6NR$6VA$6VC$863$868$877$8S2$8S3-B070

Problem is i want to update my combox but cant because the usb socket isnt working.

Bluetooth and aux working just fine

added in this message my TRC files from MEDIA (COMBOX) and CIC
Some pictures how its installed in my car ( for this moment above the glovebox, waiting for my cables to arrive for instal in boot of the car )

Still a lot of maybes not knowing what you had before the retrofit, such as did you have a mulf, did you have a USB hub under the seat, is the USB coded to active in the cic and then some.

Give this a read, maybe it will help.

I had a ccc prof with only aux in the armrest, no mulf no Tcu and no cd charger

If the USB is coded in Cic to active you should see iT in the attached file.

Maybe someone more knowledgeable on your issue will chime in.

As to your file, all I see is the VO string. I do not see an attachment to trc files.

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

I had to go to the web version instead of the app. to see the attachments. Have you tried setting USB_HUB_M to aktiv? It currently is nicht_active.
That is to activate the USB hub, which you don't have, but work a shot. Everything else looks good in coding. Maybe recheck your cable connections.

That USB cable is not clocked correctly and does not have the correct pin out for the center console USB.

Now that you say that, I remember something about having to shave off fins and turn it 180 degrees. I already had a combox, just had to do a bunch of coding on mine, so didn't have to do any rewiring.

OP, if you go back to the link I posted that you say has nothing to do with your issue, on page 1, Patrys from Bimmertech clearly states that if you did not have a factory USB hub, the angled plug will not work when plugged into the combox. Others, in other threads, say it will if you change a pinout and turn it 180 degrees. Others have just gotten the original USB and cable designed for combox. You insist that is not related to your issue, and maybe it isn't, but at least give it serious consideration.

Best of luck.

So i have to buy a hsd cable without an angeled connector ?

I did use one without a angel to test because the one i use for my Vic to glove box is a straight one..

Just sent a e-mail to bimmertech, Will test the 180 option soon as possible

Wil give iT a try
