Just wanted to show a comparison of the 2 sets of led systems. I had the Lux H8 160 for about 4-5 years and were perfect until they died on me. So I decided to not dish out $200 again for bulbs from them and wanted to see what I could get for a more affordable set and I landed on this set from amazon for $89 and prime with return so less of a hassle if it didn't work out (which it didn't).

The amazon bulbs claimed to be 160 watt output per side. I read on the sellers details that there are 16 individual LEDs so each one has 10 watts. I got them in 2 days and went to install and these were a really tight fit and was almost impossible to get it on the shroud housing but I was able to do it and didn't even try screwing it on because I wanted to test the output first. I noticed these had a persistent flicker when they were on and decided to not even install it because it was very annoying. I tried the other side to see if it was a faulty bulb but nope they were both having a slight constant flicker as if you hit a bump in the road and it gives that bounce shutter or something.

Here are some comparison pictures I took of them and you will see my Lux melted some of its LEDs off now and both sides burnt out. The amazon pair had a good output but had a flicker so I wouldn't recommend them especially for $90. I will be looking to buy a Ziza pair from ecs or turner for $117 I think is what it's listed for or go with the Lux 189.

Full car pic with lights on is the LUX H8 160 (with low beams on with Morimoto D1S 6k HID bulbs)
Pic with just the driver side was a quick Amazon bulb pic

Enjoy the pics

The Lux look great.
For only a little more than your amazon purchase, HPB's come in 240W!

Bought some 30$ ebay bulbs for angel eyes.

They work, they are white color and they don't seem to overheat. Why spend extra ?

Sorry to hear that one of these older 160's stopped working for you. Please send us an e-mail to Sales@LuxAngelEyes.com and we can help set you up with a discount on the newer 189's, V6 adjustable, or H8 Gold if you are interested. We'd like to see the comparison of these compared to the ebay ones as well.

We have also found that more LED's is not actually better. The built in reflector of the angel eyes needs a certain light output, and these extra LED's actually serve no purpose. They make the inner ring bright but dont focus the needed light to the outer ring.

Yea I bet they do work, but I bet they are not as bright. I've seen a lot of those bulbs and the color seems washed out like it's trying to be bright but it can't. The Lux bulbs I had made it look like an lci headlight.

Once you've had:
10W
20W
40W
80W
160W
240W

Now 360W.... the $30 options compared to the latest options is a world of a difference in output and overall look of the vehicle.

Of course if the lower output options work for you, that is all that matters.

Michael, we can't post links here (forums rules and our competitors love to get us in trouble) but check out the classifieds section or vendors sites
