It is terrible. The drone is really loud and cold start is unacceptably loud. Don't do it. I can't wait to have mufflers reinstalled.

A tune will deepen that stock sound o'flatulence to something OK. Yep....if exhaust is stock....

Ah OK, My aftermarket exhaust (from eBay) does have a set of resonators built in. I didn't have raspy sound but it did have a huge amount of drone. Silencer inserts really did the trick for me.

So I might be a little biased because I am very young and like a very loud car. But I have catless dps and I believe they are secondary cats or resonators left, but other than that complete straight pipe. As far as my car goes, there is ZERO drone ever, and it is honestly very quiet until you reach about 3.5-4k rpms and then it really starts to scream beyond that. I think it's nice but like I said I am very young and probably want a different sound than most of you.

Thanks!
Judging by your profile you have an E92 335i, that doesn't come with resonator from factory but with secondary cats and a factory Xpipe. The sweet spot for an E92 335i for me is catless dp's, stock secondaries, stock Xpipe and the valve from stock muffler always open (undo connector in trunk). Nice deep sound and no drone...
