'11 335xi from differential concenrs

Hey everybody forum noob here. Just picked up an '11 335i xDrive. I want to do some light modifications, mainly just stuff like intercooler, oil cooler, charge pipe. Just square everything away before I think about tuning. I've noticed some have concerns with th elimits of the front diff/transfer case. Is there a specific threshold for failure? Id like to go FBO down the road, no e85 and most likely no meth. I know there was something happening with MFactory and Twisted tuning but haven't seen any updates.

Not sure if it would work with fitment or even ratios, but is the f10 550i xDrive even a possibility as a replacement for the front.
Should I even be concerned?
I'd just like to keep it as stout and reliable as possible. Which might mean leaving it on stock boost levels

Only thing you should be worried about front is the lube. Replace seals on input and output. Front is mounted to Engine, upgrade engine mounts and front control arm bushings and ball joints
If the front dies, you can replace it easily. Also opportunity to replace engine oil pan gasket.

Front only work when rear skips. Put a Torsen LSD in the rear and add reasonable camber, M3 diff, frame bushing and control arms.

Worry more about transfer case fluid, if you haven't changed already. Put in poly inserts in transfer case bushings, upgrade the transfer case motor screw, it wears out with use.
Prepare to spend $,$$$ in drive line and suspension upgrade before you add any power. What's the power you can't apply to tarmac?

Depends if you are auto or manual. I put down 500whp on the stock XI drive train no problem but with an auto. My recommendation if you are auto would be XHP with Rod Sutphin trans flash and leave drive train stock.

Yes, auto can soak up drivetrain shock better than a manual.

If your roll racing you will be fine. If your going to launch your car from the dig hard then be concerned. I ran around for 45k miles at 630awhp/570tq. No issues with the front diff.
