0-40 is slowwww
Here is my story, I bought an 335IX 2011 M sports package performance edition... It was fun for the first few weeks and now it feels a bit slow, specialy 0 to 40! I dont want to imagine what it would be like without the performance edition add on I was driving an Acura TLS 2008 before and the BMW is a much better drive in all aspects, I also have a 2003 540I MSports package which is still fast and quick I will be getting the Dinan stage 2 when its available but will it make that big of a difference? Specialy from 0 to 40?

Check to make sure there are no boost leaks or nothings popped off anywhere. Otherwise, if you are not satisfied buy a real tune not the BMW performance 20 hp junk.

I do not know anything about Dinan Performance numbers but with the Vishnu Procede for example (which is what I have), the difference is astonishing and u will love the torque.

Thank you for the responses, Anyone know if Dinan will make that big of a difference? The only reason I am going that rout is due to the peace of mind of having warranty. Maybe I am just being too picky but driving the 2003 540I (heavier car) and then driving the ix seems slow. The V8 on the 540I probably has alot to do with the feeling but I ll start to time it more often and see how it goes.
I will look in to JB4, thanks Frank. |

If you are interested in the Dinan Stage 2 Software I highly recommend it! Although it may not compare in terms of numbers to the Procede, Cobb and JB, its still a whole bunch of fun! I have a 2008 335i and drove it around stock for about three weeks. I loved the feel of the power increase from my previous car, a 2001 330i. I felt like I could pass anything on the road. However with the Dinan tune the car feels completely different. Although the power almost feels like it disappears on the low end compared to stock once boost hits hold on because your in for some exciting acceleration. Take it from me, you will not be disappointed.
About the warranty issue, it truly does depend on which dealer is servicing your car. I just went in for a mileage milestone service two days ago and let them know I had the Dinan stage 2 on there. I told them to be careful not to reflash the ECU (I didnt want to go back and get the tune redone). My SA smiled and said thanks for letting me know, we wont do touch the ECU and we will let you know if we have to. Got the car back and runs better than ever with the Dinan Stage 2 intact.
