Hi
The wheels are 17x9et30. Front tires are 245/45 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Rear tires are 255/40 hankook RS4. Rear spacers are 5mm with rubbing only in hard dips if there are additional people in the car. Front spacers are also 5mm. About the suspension: ST XTA coilovers (-1.5 front and -1.8 back camber) and M3 control arms front and rear. The brakes are front f30 m sport brakes with stainless steel braided lines and hawks pads. |

Hesitant on pulling the trigger on a set of ARC-8s for my E92. I don't know if I should run 18x9" ET30 for the fronts and 18x9.5" ET 35 for the rears on 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 or do I run 18x9.5" ET22 and 18x10" ET25 with same tire set up.. Need ideas/help before I order a set! thank you

For a non-M E92, you can run the following setup as a direct fit: Front: 18x9" ET30 or ET31 with 235/40-18 tires Rear: 18x9.5" ET35 with 265/35-18 tires -5mm front spacers may be required with certain aftermarket suspensions -245/40-18 front tires can be used. -275/35-18 rear tires may require rolled fenders and/or negative camber depending on ride height. With an 18x9" ET30/31 front and an 18x9.5" ET35 rear, you can run 235/40 front and 265/35 rear tires as a direct fit on a stock E92. However, you can also upsize to 245/40 front and 275/35 rear tires if you are open to rolling your rear fenders. I would not suggest running an 18x9.5" ET22, unless you prefer to have a very flush fitment with the outer fenders that will more than likely require some additional negative camber (with certain tire sizes) and a rear fender roll. Hope this helps! -Geirsen

Hi Guys
Some really top looking motors on here and interesting to see the different perspectives. I'm in a fairly unique position I think in that I haven't started dialling anything in on my stock E90 N54 335i SE LCI. Had the car for about 18 months it's running well and it's coming up to 100k so time to start replacing some parts and getting it tuned and detailed. I'm looking to upgrade to M3 Control Arms, probably some Coil Overs (as have stock 17" rims and winter RF tires) and some Apex Arc-8 18" rims HS or HB for summer ideally with PSS. I'm looking for Daily, Street, ideally Square, Wide, decent Concave, Meaty, but without rolling, don't mind spacers or slight camber but want the option to be able to return the car to stock at a later date. Have been looking through the thread but I'm getting a bit baffled by science and seems to be less options with the LCI. What set up would you guys recommend? Tires, Springs and Coil Overs all being optional (but will need to swap back and forth with my winter wheels). I'm basically asking for the perfect set up so I know there will be some compromise along the way. Also are Tegiwa in Stoke going to be a good place to get this all done or any other recommendations for Midlands for sales, fitting and tuning the corners of my motor? Thanks in advance! |

For a daily-able, square, meaty, and concave ARC-8 setup for your LCI E90, I would recommend the following fitment: Front & Rear: 18x9" ET30 with 255/35-18 tires -Direct fit. -335is models may experience slight tire contact on front fender liner during full-lock turns. -5mm front spacers may be required with certain aftermarket suspensions, see below. With a 18x9" ET30 wrapped in a 255/35-18 tire at all four corners, this setup is a direct fit on both stock and modified LCI E9X vehicles. However, depending on what coilover setup you go with, you may need to run a small 5mm front spacer to clear kits that are known to reduce inner suspension clearance. Hope this helps! -Geirsen

Expert@ApexRaceParts Question, I found a set of staggered EC7's locally for 1 series fitment... I'm assuming these are a no go on a pre-lci e91 due to the 45 and 58 offset?

That is correct. The 1-Series specific EC-7s in 18x8.5" ET45 and 18x9.5" ET58 sizes are not ideal for the E9X non-M chassis. You would have to use some pretty large spacers to get them to fit right, which I wouldn't suggest vs. getting a set of wheels better suited for your application. -Geirsen

Having a 335is, I was having some rubbing issues on turns but I fixed that with some easy fixes to the wheel well liner and vents. Much Happier Now!!! Once I get some good weather I will take some pics and share! |

So I found a set of SM-10's that are for sale, the seller is listing as 18x9 square with ET30. What is a good tire size assuming stock non-sport suspension? Drop will be coming but will be minimal as I have a driveway that I need to get in and out of. I was thinking 235/45r18 all around or is this too tall? I like a little more meat on my tire. The other thought was a 245/40/18... was hoping for more than a 35 series tire all around. |

For a 18x9" ET30 square setup, I would suggest running a 255/35-18 or a 245/40-18 if you want a bit more sidewall. Both options will provide a direct fit on a stock suspension or mildly lowered E9X. A 235/45-18 will be too tall to be an ideal fit. Hope this helps! -Geirsen
