Hey shragon where would you recommend getting Mobil 1 0W-40 oil? Thanks?

That can be an oil that some auto stores might carry. Only way to find one is to check the local Auto Zone, Kragen, or Pepboys.

Here's the MANN oil filter we use for the N54 engines.

And the oil that we use.. ELF Solaris LSX 5w-30. This is a 1 liter bottle. The N54 takes in 6.5lters (7qts)

in the bay area, all the local auto store chains carry it: kragen, autozone, and pep boys. back in the day, walmart use to carry the 5 quart jugs, but they've stopped carrying it for 0w-40 for sometime now around here. wish costco would start selling 0w-40 since they have good prices on cases of 5w-30 and 10w-30.

anyway, i'm fairly sure it's probably the same in socal.

Jon do you guys have the tool to reset the ECU countdown also? I'd love to just pay for the oil change to avoid putting my car back to stock for the dealer.

We don't have a reset tool for the E90 models. I think there is a way to reset it via the instrument cluster.

Great deal. I'd definitely do it if I were closer. The savings isn't that much if you DYI and I don't have to deal with the mess or dispose the oil.
