Radiator Leak

Hi All,

Got a radiator leak - seems relatively small at the moment, but will need a long term solution instead of topping up...

My mechanic is recommending an OEM Behr hella replacement - plastic again i guess

Does anyone have any advice?

This car has been challenging to love the last few months just hitting the dreaded oil/coolant leak part of it's life

I got an aftermarket replacement through FCP euro. I did the pump thermostat and hoses at the same time. Reservoir had been done sometime previous. FCP has a lifetime warrantee so if it ever leaks again they'll replace it. Every part on my car ive bought from them ive kept the receipts. A potential buyer in the future would certainly be interested

+1 for FCP. If you don't want to worry about cooling issues, do the radiator, hoses, reservoir, thermostat and water pump at once.

If you still have oil leaks, get the kits to do the oil filter+cooler housing gaskets and valve cover gaskets while you're in there.

If you wanna upgrade to an aluminium radiator you can always grab a CSF radiator. It'll be about $5-600 more than grabbing an OEM replacement rad from FCP.
