Bluetooth Issues, Please Help

I have a Motorola RAZR my phone book will only load partly:mad: . Also if I'm on a call and another call comes in, if I don't answer it, it automatically hangs up the call I'm on:mad: . I've tried to re-"pair" but that does not seem to solve my problem. Anyone have any ideas?????

I've been told that the original V3 (not V3i or e or r or c) uses Bluetooth 1.1 and new handsets use 1.2 which behaves a lot better (fyi: bmw is using the 1.1 spec). I've been running into dropped calls and my handset was complaining aboiut "low BT signal, switch to handset ?" and then the call sometimes drops.

I have the exact same problem.. My e90 is an '06 produced toward the end of the model year & the RAZR is new. I even tried pairing a RAZR from a different cell provider- same result. I went to the dealer but all they did was create a "puma" case (whatever that is)... My fix was to disable call waiting...

I have pre sept 06 build and new RAZR V3m phone. I haven't received more than one call at a time yet, but if I state the name command it tells me my phonebook is empty. All the names and numbers are there and I can select them through the A-Z button and dial, or I can use the number voice command and that works.

take it to the dealer. i just took mine in and they fixed it. it works seamlessly now.

My black Razr V3 works fine with 07 335i E90.
So does my wife's V3i.

They cleared the program and reloaded i believe. I lost all my mileage data and so forth. ///Matt might be able to tell you more. he didn't work on the car, but as a tech he might some clue.

edit: your car is covered. as long as the car is a device that is compatible they have to fix it until it works.

Gitta, this may be related to whether you have CCC (high ver of computer) or M-ASK. Speech recog. is only supported in CCC.

they gave me a 3 series loaner. i hear different things about what kind of car they give you. it depends on the dealership. i was very specific when i made my appointment i wanted a bmw. they gave me a E90 when i got there, so i was pretty happy. i drove the crap out of the car!

Yes, Jonathan, mine was indeed a ID10T problem. I didn't realize the cars phonebook was independent from the numbers it finds in my paired phone. I thought the paired numbers worked like the voice recognition of the phone. So, I have M-ASK and used the <save name> command to setup a few names.

PS - the phone manual sucks!

Kelly, I´m glad the issue is resolved. I agree, the documentation could be better.

I have I drive and my Razr connects to the car ok everytime. Address book transfers ok too everytime. Not had any problems with call waiting. Take it to the dealer and they should sort out any problems.

FYI

I have the same problem with my V3. Call waiting and sms's kills the call I'm on. I have notices the phone book does not always transfer. Restarting the bluetooth fixes the problem.

I have had my CCC replaced and the new software loaded and I still have the problem.

I've just learned to live with the issues.

BTW my E1000 does the same. It may by a motorola issue
