Replaced VCG, was leaking onto the manifolds

Replaced all ignition items and did new coilovers, nothing there was technically 'broken', just had misfire when boost was >15psi.
I jinked myself. My front driveshaft u-joint exploded on the way to work. $140 for new unit. Easy fix at least.

VANOS and now after shody repair, metal in the oil, so fearing the worst ...

Still, it's going to be fixed, just not driving my car for 3 months is and will be a pain

Left tie rod was worn and I could feel it in the steering. So I had new tie rods, M3 front control arms, and Munroe upper rear shock mounts installed.
Luckiest year ever for this car, no other issues!

How did you blow your motor at 193k? 193k isn't even that high.

Crank hub bolt loosened up resulting in complete loss of timing. Made the loudest bang i've ever heard from the car

Nothing.

But what did I break on my car this year? Cylinder head to tstat hose (cross-threaded) & sway bar stud (over-torqued). Both easy fixes, but both were so easily avoidable.
