Hey Guys!

I have a 2012 335i convertible that has been giving me some problems. Around 2 weeks ago during a spirited drive in sport mode, I got the dreaded reduced power engine malfunction light and smelled a strong gas odor. I had it towed to my indy and was told I needed to replace the spark plugs, engine coils, and 3 of the fuel injectors. I went ahead with the repairs and after picking it up and driving it for a day the check engine light came back on as well as the reduced power warning briefly. I drove it up to my indy and he told me to take it to the dealership because the new injectors may need to be recoded in order for the dme to recognize them. At the dealership my baby was throwing out 2f03 and 2f01 codes misfires in cylinders 5 &3 which were 2 of the 3 new injectors I just had replaced. they recommended I replace them again and want $1,700 to do so. They are brand new OEM injectors no way they need to be replaced after 2 weeks. I guess my question is could the fix really be as simple as recoding them or am I SOL. Update, I had them calibrate the new injectors but no luck. They said it could be that they are not the correct type for a 2012 335i convertible. Does anyone know if I should have put in E5 injectors instead of the E6 ones?
