Make sure you search nationally as well.

I sold my e46 and was after a 335i, searched for weeks and then came across the below car at Bavarian BMW over in Northern Ireland, it was on for £17k, phoned up and managed to haggle down to £16k and they threw in a full tank of full and the Performance Black Grills. Plus you get the added benefit of the 12 months AUC.

Bearing in mind I live in Bournemouth on the south coast, i got a flight at the cost of £50 one way from Southampton airport at 7am on a Saturday, picked up from Belfast airport at 9am, pick the car, on the ferry back to Scotland by 11am, drive the car from Stranraer to Bmth, home for 8pm.

Long day but boy was it worth it.....

Definitely, i'm more than willing to travel as 335i's are very rare around my way. Every search on Autotrader/BMW AUC i do i select National.

Before the car in Hampshire i was going to travel to Norwich but i had not sold my other car at the time so i was a bit too late

I really want a car (that the seller is willing to sell to me!) to pop up ASAP but at the same time i'm willing to wait for the right one.

The right one will come along I am sure and when you get it you will be glad you waited and that you sticked to your guns re the spec.

When I bought my e46, I went for the SE model instead of the M-Sport model and ended up upgraded the bumpers etc to the M-Sport bumpers but its not the same and tbh, I regretted going for the SE and rushed the decision.

It seems like the right thing to do at the time, but then after about 2 weeks of driving it, you wish you had held out.

Good luck with your search.

Bit of a bump, still looking

I went to look at a Sparkling Graphite 330i the other day and i fell in love with that colour so it's either that or Black Sapphire.

There appears to be a few cars that tick all the boxes on Autotrader/Pistonheads but they're sold. (The £17,950 black one, the £15,995 grey one for example)

I kinda hoped that you'd found your new motor by now.

I dont want a grey one so hopefully you can find a decent grey one and I can get a black or a rare white one.

They must sell quickly then, I only noticed the grey one on there a day or two ago.

I did notice this earlier for the first time. Slightly too expensive for me but otherwise looks good.

I'd personally prefer 19's too but I might consider 313 reps anyway so if the price comes down a little I might give them a shout.

I've still been frantically looking!

I weren't sure on the Grey so i went to see one in a BMW dealership and loved it, got home and called the fella with the Grey one with 313's but someone had bought it 2 hours earlier!

The good one's are lucky to last a day online before they're sold!

The red leather's not for me so i'll leave them to you whilst you leave the Grey one's to me

Prices had to bottom out.

The 335i was too cheap for too long especially compared to other cars.

Good to see values going up and cars moving.

I've just been looking at BCA and saw this...

Given the condition (attached PDF) what sort of value would you think this would go for?

I think you should get it bought!

I don't know anything about these auctions but don't cars generally go a little cheaper at auction? Got to be 17k or so do you reckon?

Is there anything there for me?

There aren't really any more suitable coupes for either of us to be honest, either high mileage or convertibles really.

If someone who's used to auctions could guide me that the price would be within my budget i'd go down there and see what happens. I don't want to take the day off work for them to start bidding at £17/18k when it needs a bit of paintwork sorting!

My tuppence worth...

I'm looking at selling my 335i se coupe soon. Now I know it's an se, but it has got a fairly epic spec...

2006 56 plate in Monaco Blue (amazing colour when the sun is out)
Grey leather
Manual
Graphite headlining
piano black dash inserts (way nicer than the common silver ones)
Prof satnav
Bluetooth pack
Voice control
Auto lights, wipers and dipping mirrors (comfort pack I think)
Radar cruise control (I will miss this a lot!!!)
Front and rear parking sensors
230 style 19" alloys
Just gone over 50k miles.

Pm me if it might be your thing.

Sounds like a nice car and i love Monaco Blue - someone in work has a 5 series in that colour and it's deceiving, it looks black most of the time!

I've been looking at SE's lately but if i got one i think i'd always think i should have held out for an M Sport.

I've noticed that one, it's a good price for the age etc but unfortunately quite a bit above the top end of my budget

click on the appraisal and it will give you a report on the condition, you have a buyer premium to pay on top of any winning bid ,this goes off selling price but add 100S to price,if its a good one dont expect a bargain they go for pretty much top money to dealers who can retail for showroom prices, hope that helps
