Radio Problems (E92) :(
Hey guys,
I have an E92 328i, no iDrive system, and no Logic 7 sound system. About two years ago, I had a SOS error pop up and after that I had absolutely no sound coming from my radio. The screen isn't on either. I still have the seat belt chimes and the chimes for when the door is left open, however, my PDC doesn't have any sound either. I tried the fiber optic bypass loop that I have seen others mention but I don't think that would do anything since I don't have the Logic 7? I'm not real sure how any of that works. Anyway, the bypass didn't work. At this point, I don't even know if my car using the fiber optics since it only has the professional radio. So, I'm thinking it could possibly be the head unit? I'm just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and if so, how'd you fix it? Thanks so much! |

Have you checked for a blown fuse?

There is a fuse at the back of the Pro Radio as well, plus a fuse
at the cabin fuse board. If the Radio won't light up and it has power at the connector it's bad . Establishing power at the Radio connector is a must . The IBS system in the car can turn off power to the Radio if the battery is low or there is something wrong with the IBS system. electical e90 pdf http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...,d.cGU&cad=rja http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU |

Did you check the cables/plugs behind the head unit?
