hey how has that AD thermostat been? I debating on running that instead of running a plate and an external tstat. I am about to install 2 25 row universal cores in the foglight location on both sides with oem oil filter housing just add the AF thermostat! Im in California and weather doesn't get too cold so would it be good for me just want to improve cooling.

Is it worth going through insurance on this? It would be cheaper, in the long run, for the person to pay out of picket to fix such small damage vs. the hike their insurance is going to take over the next few years. You car then also has one less accident reported on it, which keeps you resale value higher. Has insurance taken a look at it yet? Anyone other than you take pictures? You could always dent the tip and demand a new muffler/exhaust. At least in the states they have to repair it to like new condition. You can't buy a BMW exhaust tip afaik from bmw separately. They would have to give you money to pay for it to be replaced. Or whomever your exhaust is from, most insurance companies are dumb as fuck when it comes to aftermarket parts. An insurance company once gave me $1300 for a single damaged side skirt that a shop ripped off. Just a thought

It mean someone who has only been driving for a short time and are dumb as fk (no offense to any P platers who may be reading this) Normally I'd agree Torgus but the P plater was driving a turd and didn't look like she was rollin in cash and my guess is it will be a $3K to 4K after a new bumper, diffuser, painting, hire car and margins are thrown in....I doubt she has that sitting around. tbh I got burnt trying to be the nice guy, so from here on in the insurance company can do what I pay them for and sort it out Car is going into Brighton panel works, on the 7 Jan. I took a trip out there today to check out the work shop and get an assessment done. Lots of high end motors (mercs, bmws etc), place looks clean and the staff were very professional, so looks like it will be in good hands. Only prob will be sourcing a matching CF diffuser, I sent them the link to the part at eurodivision here in Melb. Hopefully Jason has one on stock Last edited by Socket; 12-18-2018 at 12:01 AM.. |

Yep so far they have been great.... 10 min to lodge claim, list of repairers to select from, fixing aftermarket parts no questions and hire car while its in the shop all for the grand total of $0
That said all my mods are listed on the policy Just over 24 hrs from accident to assessed and booked in for repair So far so good Will let you know how it turns out |

I had to lodge another claim after waiting 6 months and picking up the car which wasn't even close to fixed even though the repairer told me it was insurance company assessed it again, agreed with me and then asked if I wanted to send it back to same repairer...last straw for me, they fixed it properly through diff repairer but it was all to difficult for my liking am now with Shannons |
