Paddle Shifter retrofit from 2011 LCI....
Haven't seen this discussed anywhere...
Can the new paddle shifters from the 2011 LCI be retrofitted in place of the older style paddles? Part numbers? Available to order? Price? Image attached... |

I have the paddles rewired already but, I do not like their positioning (have to reach behind the steering wheel with your fingers to grab them) and the clicking action doesn't feel all that great. If you compare it to an SMG or DCT paddle then you'll know what I mean. |

I tried them out at the dealership. If you don't like the way the standard paddles click, then you won't be impressed with these. The click is pretty much exactly the same and it even felt the same in my hands. It's like they removed the thumb part and rewired them, but they didn't change the way it feels to shift with them.
The M3 DCT paddles definitely have a much more satisfying click to them. |

They should be fine as they are for the sport wheel, the M3 wheel has a different contour on the back so the paddles have the gap on the sport wheel, but the DCT paddles for the IS use the same wheel as the standard 335 with the sport wheel, so they should fit spot on!
