Anyone on here have the black pre-lci E92 335xi coupe that I saw at the kwik trip off capital and highway 16 in Pewaukee last night around 5pm?

Looked clean, lowered, had 189 wheels.

I also see a red E82 going opposite of me (east in the morning, west in the afternoon) on highway 16 a lot, looks lowered with gunmetal grey wheels.

That red e82 is probably my buddy. He has more pictures on Wibimmers.com under I_love_cars.

Anyone in the Milwaukee area that can do the Alpina TCU flash? Or give me the software needed so I can do it myself? I already have a coding cable that I use with the MHD flasher but can't find WinKFP, etc. anywhere that seems even remotely trustworthy.

Hello fellow Wisconsinites and others. I just recently joined and just wanted to see who lives close to the Lacrosse area. I just moved there last year from Milwaukee. Before I bought my 08 335xi in Montego Blue (i think), I was in the evo game. Owned a 03 BBY evo 8 with some pretty tasteful mods, but wanted a new platform to work on and these n54 motors seems like they can take a beating. Thanks for having me.

Hey guys, it looks like there has not been much activity on here recently.

I recently sold by 2011 335 M Sport, manual and upgraded to 2014 M sport auto.

At any rate, I am wondering if you've heard of Turo.com, the platform for renting cars from owners. I am actually renting out my new F30 in case anyone would like to try it out:

Hi folks -

Just had the car in at Zimbrick for an oil change and, of course, a complimentary list of things that need to be fixed, including valve cover replacement ($1552), belt tensioner ($373) and oil filter housing gasket (no estimate on that).

Does anyone have a good, current alternative recommendation for service in the Madison area? I'm retired, so I could also drive to the Chicago area if that was necessary or worthwhile.

Thanks in advance - Pat

In Mequon, Nathaniel at European Autohouse is great. Very honest and better prices than the dealer. https://www.yelp.com/biz/european-auto-house-mequon

Anyone on here have experience with MHD? I'm thinking about trying it, but I would like some honest opinions first. Thanks!

I've been using it for the past year on my N54 after switching from Procede. Honest opinion, it's awesome! I have FMIC, DCI and DP's and it's light years better than my Procede was. Ease of use is great and it's very convenient. If I want to log I just pull out my phone and log, pull over and review the log. If want to check coolant temps (sport pkg, no coolant temp gauge) I pull out my phone, hook it up and check. The tunes are constantly being tweaked and support from MHD is amazing. I couldn't ask for a better product.

Thanks for the response! Honestly, I wouldn't even need to use it that much. I just want a little more power. I don't know much about logging either.

I'm stock except the for the BMW PPK and PE and I'll be staying that way. So I'd just like to load a standard map and not have to touch it except to update every once in a while.

Also, how difficult is the install? I've read that you need a battery charger and obviously some special cables.

More often than not I'm not touching my tune. I load it and drive. It will definitely add more power to the car. Install for MHD was really easy. You need a cable and that's all. I have the expensive $100 cable and that didn't work with it so I bought a cable off of ebay for $20 and it works fine. If you're interested I could probably find a link to the cable I bought. They recommend a battery charger but if you have a strong battery you should be fine. The first time I loaded the tune I had my car hooked up to a charger but since then I've never done it to swap maps. Which, changing maps takes about 1 min 30 sec. The initial load takes about 12 - 15 mins.

Thanks for the info! I've done some research and it seems pretty reliable so I'm just debating if it's actually worth it since I would also get a new charge pipe as well.

I think it's worth it. I've had it since it was in the beta stage (I think there was a special discount at that time) and I've enjoyed it. It's easy to install and to load the updated maps as updates come out. There are also some other cool features that it has. You can buy android devices for like $50 if you don't have one.
