Brake Sensor keeps triggering

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2011 bmw 335i and I have recently replaced the front brake pads, rotors, holding clip, and sensor with dealer bought parts twice.

Each time, after 500 miles or so, the brake wear sensor triggers. After removing the tires and inspecting the parts, the pads look thick and new but the sensor wire is always torn. I have also changed the white clip that holds the sensor in place.

What is going on? Is there a correct way to route the brake sensor wire? I don't understand why it keeps tripping after 500 miles.

thanks in advance!

Update-with pictures

I took some pictures over the weekend. To me, it definitely looks like the wire is getting snagged on something.. possibly the brake caliper hose?

Never seen one of those white clips before. On mine the wire passes through the loop of the bleed nipple cover (between the 2 rubber sheath bits on the sensor wire). I think yours should be routed in front (towards the outside of the vehicle) of the brake hose.

Also, no need to replace the pads and disc again; just replace the sensor.
