Hi all,
I'm new member and seeking for help. I installed Hamann springs with stock shocks for my E90 LCI 320i and it doesn't ride as I expected. I am finding new shocks for it can you help me to choose correct shocks that can be fitted with Hamann springs? Tks

I am finding new shocks for it can you help me to choose correct shocks that can be fitted with H&R springs? i changed the springs but not the shocks for my E90 and its Bouncy..Tks

hey so im hoping to get some advice on spring rates.
Im getting an AST 5100 coilover setup with swift springs from HP autowerks for my e90 335i.
I want some opinions on spring rates... something stiff for track use but comfortable enough to use on the road.

I'm a Noob.

What's up guys. So, I have an '07 328i with around 79k on it. I have 19" wheels on and I was thinking of lowering it. I got suggested by somebody to go with Eibach sport spring and camber correction kit...would it be okay to put that on my stock shocks, or would I have to buy new shocks (Bilstein for example) to achieve this? And what do the coilover kits normally include? Thanks in advance!

hey guys,

i literally have the same scenario as the above ^^^^

My 2007 328i sedan is lowered with Vogtland springs, and my shocks are wasted, very soft and floaty. 70k miles.

Need to get new ones, thinking koni or bilstein if you guys could help me out, that'd be awesome. Part numbers would be over the top helpful.

I'm in the process of swapping out my entire OEM suspension parts with M3 ones. I'm already on KW V3s. Going to go with Megan Racing toe arms and Powergrid adjustable sway end link sets. Quaife LSD too at the same time as I don't want to waste more money dropping the subframe two times.

Great topic and open to suggestions.

I've got one: research the heck out of the M3 sway bars. If you don't mind loosing some of that independant suspension feel and don't punch it coming out of turns, I guess they're ok. Personally, I'd install the 15mm rear sway bar from the E93 335i instead of the M3 bar. Maybe you can drive a 335 w/M3 sway bars before you install them?

Thanks for the suggestion. I purchased the rear M3 sway bar a couple of months ago so I'm sort of stuck with it in a way. I've heard what you said from a few guys already. Haven't purchased a front one yet.

One more thing:

As you guys know I'm piecing out the M3 suspension parts and I keep seeing the xenon rod and ABS sensor:


Front:

Xenon regulation rod - part #: 37142283867


Rear:

ABS sensor bracket - part #: 34522283017


Are these things I would need to buy too or are they there for people looking to replace them? My car is a 2009 BMW 335d.

You'll need the headlight leveling rod if you install the M3 front wishbone links and the plastic abs bracket if you install the M3 rear upper links

Sup bro! The thing about this is that it's a quick fix for what you what for your car at the moment. If you choose to run stock shocks with aftermarket springs, it puts more stress on your shocks and it'll eventually go out so I wouldn't recommend running something aggressive. Keep in mind that if you go with shock+spring combo, you're at a fixed setting in terms of dampening/ride height.

Best choices IMO you got are Koni Yellow Sports shocks and Bilstein HD shocks.

No, but if you want to dial in the camber in the front, then yes you will need camber kit.
