Highest I've seen is 226k on the original engine. I'm sure there are people out there with more. I have 157k on mine, Dinan stage 2 since new.

EDIT: the 226k guy was going single turbo and only replaced the engine because he didn't log after the swap. Engine was still strong.

Cool

91k miles on mine.upgraded Intercooler, oil cooler, downpipes,Stage2fuelit, Cobb exhaust, charge pipe/Bov, Cobb V3 tuned,93 octane with 10%ethanol. Engine runs just as smooth, if not better than when I first got the car. Preventative maintenance is a key factor IMHO to keep your car running as efficient and problem free as possible. Can't wait to hear the stories of our n54s reaching 350k by 2020!!

high mileage 2007 335 project (181K)

2007 335i Sport Package, rather than trade it in for $6K: hail storms (2012), overheating, & oil leaks drove me to repair the car at 181K miles starting in September::: replaced turbos, water pump, thermostat, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, oil filter housing gasket, plugs, two ignition coils, windshield, changed headliner/pillar trim to black from grey to match rest of black interior, radiator hoses, belts, interior LED lights, carbon fiber interior kit, smoke lights front/rear/side markers, changed exterior window trim to matte black from silver, M3 faux front bumper, severe hail damage repaired, filled in "hood mustache", painted 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Cyber Gray Metallic (57U).

The engine was missing at 181K before water pump failure due to ignition coils/plugs, else it would have been fine guessing 220K as factory turbos replaced at 45K. Running great now. This is slowly being converted to my weekend race car as I have a 2017 frozen black M3 daily driver.

TO DO: tranny/differential fluid never changed, walnut blasting never done, charge pipe, PVC valve, Dinan racing coil over track suspension system, M3 suspension refresh with sway bars, rear chassis brace upgrade, JB4 computer, LSD, Dinan intake, Porsche Brembo front brakes, TBD upgraded rear brakes (love suggestions here, F30?), considering wheels VMR710 19x9.5 ET33 front with 235/35/19 front and 19x10 ET25 rear with 275/30/19, also considering installation of M3 left/right rear side panels and bumper (my body guy can get it done). Comments? Concerns?

I am driving this until I total it or 500K/miles whichever comes first. I plan on spending money, lots of it, to keep it running, it's a great platform.

Good to hear owners keeping their N54's at high mileage. I'm only at a lousy 63k, picked her up at 55k 7 months ago.

I'm the original owner with my car at 110K miles. I picked her up in Munich for a Euro Delivery in November 2006 and had been so much fun since. What has been great about the N54 is its the flexibility to change over time e.g. adding more power and my gas mileage is getting better as the engine breaks in. Cheers!

2007 335i Sport Package update; at 203K installed used tranny (103K miles on tranny) and required a software update to mate the tranny with the car as it would stop in reverse after 2-3 meters sometimes. In both my 540 and this 335 it seems the transmission started to slip around 200K miles even after changing the oil every 60K. Suspension update, installed Koni yellows, Dinan rear strut mount package, and new strut bearings/mounts in front plus ER Charge Pipe. I am putting M3 leather seats in front next week. 307K miles to go!

150k miles on my 2008 e90 FBO that I got as a CPO car with 17k miles on it. started with a JB4 and DCI at 40k miles and FBO by 45k miles.

@45k miles I did the following:
* AR DP w/DP fix at 5 Oclock
* ER Comp FMIC anodized + ER CP w/Tial Q BOV VTA
* Carbon blasted and new spark plugs
* BMS OCC

I never ran e85 and always have my JB4 on map5. I get some stupid codes from time to time, but I clear them and they stay away for a while. I have had to clear my ECU adapts because the Long Term Fuel Trims seem to get skewed being FBO... but that is easy to do with INPA.

I had a lot of common things done under CPO:
*80k miles new injectors
*80k miles new radiator
*80k miles new spark plugs

Other maintenance:
*90k OFHG
*95k carbon blasted again
*95k new 90AH AGM battery --> old battery was FLA 90AH batery
*99k new front brakes/rotors/sensor BMW original with z4is 2 piece rotors
*101k new rear brakes/rotors/sensor BMW original
*105k new water pump/expansion tank/t-stat (Preemptive replacement, no actual issues... but 200 miles on the new pump it had a hard/permanent failure and needed to be towed to get a new water pump done under warranty... go figure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
*105k new belt/pulley/tensioner
*105k new VCG
*105k new shocks all around
*126k miles driver door actuator failed/replaced/DIY
*130k miles rear passenger side window regulator failed - DIY fixed
*140k all new drive line fluids (T-case/diffs/tranny)
* ~151k (next week) new front (lower rear) control arms and links installed

* Oil changes every 7500 miles
* Brake fluid every 2 years

My wastegate rattle was horrible by 105k miles... it's still horrible at 150k miles but the car still drives fine.

I have some kind of oil leak/loss that I need to budget for. It might be the Oil pan and/or the rear main seal? But I am only losing about 1/4 qt of oil every 1000 miles... so i can live with it till it gets worse.

The car is a great beater ride, lots of passing power. I hope I can keep it road worthy till 300k miles (cheaper to maintain rather than a new car payment). With that said I do have a deposit for a Tesla Model 3 (want to get one fully loaded). I'm also considering a Prius Prime Advanced for my long 110 miles a day commute since it would make for a great gas mileage car (and a spare car for the family that still is under some warranty).

Fully stock here, 114k Miles. Stock turbos, no rattle. Keep it clean and maintained. Like others said, preventative helps! Knock on wood, always have a repair fund just in case though.

Sheesh! I feel like mine is veteran. 186k and counting. Stage 2 Tune from Mperor Tuning, gutted cats, and DCI. I have pretty bad wastegate rattle. Going to be swapping to OEM turbos out for the RBTurbos.

Swap the turbos out with GCTurbos. Higher quality. Better performance.

VTT Vargas Turbocharger Technologies /vargas-turbo-GC-N54-upgrade.

"Built to surpass OEM components both in build quality and performance figures, these new "Game Changer" Turbos for the N54 platform set the stage for serious power gains. Cheaper than OEM turbos for those looking for a quality replacement, while having the flow characteristics to support over 750 horsepower."
