Custom Exhaust on my E90 N52 [Video]
Hello all, its been 2 years since I sold my E90 and I miss this forum soo very much..
Anyways I found a ton of files on my 328 which I thought I lost.. Prior to this exhaust, I had a muffler delete done as my exhaust for over 4 1/2 years. Sounded good but a little too loud in town in my opinion. Whats been done. The mechanic cut open the muffler, added titanium pipes and had them welded directly to the tips rather than have a curve inside the muffler in order increase flow. He also removed a bit of sound deadening (I asked him keep it quiet). Results. Sounds much louder than stock raspier on higher RPM, but definitely quieter compared to muffler delete. He suggested I remove the resonators prior to install in order to get the best out, but I refused since I feared drone. I felt an definite improvement on acceleration once you go over 4000RPM. In the past my mechanic (RayTeam Automotive in Waltham, Mass) modified 2 of my friends 335's and my god it sounded glorious. There was a huge difference when doing the Golf Tee Mod. Enjoy and check out other of my videos if interested and into Cars! Last edited by BM91; 08-17-2018 at 11:51 AM.. |

I wanted the noise level to be lower since I didn't want any drone like on my Muffler Delete. I really shouldn't of told the mechanic to make it quiet because my expectations was it might sound like the muffler delete. In person you do hear, louder idle so definitely does not sound like stock.

^^Sounds good! Was the muffler the only thing you changed? Part numbers?

Did h&r lower your car? I've heard h&r don't make springs off sport models

No I got my mechanic to lower it. Im certian that H&R still makes springs, just make sure u use either Koni or Bilstein shocks unless you want to replace ur stock shocks prematurely. My car is also a XI model btw.
