[ Az Riz ] . Red E92 LCI . NOW FOR SALE . Air . Wide M3 arches
As it started: I'm venturing over from the VAG scene after owning and heavily modifying a Mk4 Golf GTI for the last few years. I'm pretty knowledgable about cars and am very much into improving them in terms of aesthetics and performance. My Golf is running a genuine 300bhp (well, it will be when the map is finished!) with 310 lb-ft of torque. Porsche brakes, stiffened chassis etc etc. Here are a few pics: (Build thread here: http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/358419.aspx?PageIndex=1 where page 15 is the most interesting with the engine rebuild and turbo upgrade) I'm probably going to wait out the winter before I start modifying the Bimmer, it desperately needs a serious paint correction because the paint condition is the worst I've ever seen! The previous owner obviously didn't give a damn and let the usual car-wash monkeys destroy it...it's quite shocking for a car that is only 3 years old. Then will come some nice wheels, a few bodywork tweaks such as an M3 spoiler, lowering about 25mm further than how it currently sits and some engine performance enhancements. So for now, the car is an absolute pleasure to drive as it is, I'll probably just go for a few coding enhancements such as instant-speed, instant-mpg, alarm chirp and a few other bits for now and start working on the aesthetics and performance in Spring. The massive improvement in comfort and practicality after driving my Golf feels absolutely awesome so I do not intend to lower this car as much as the Golf to the extent that I need to worry about comfort and speed bumps etc. At the moment, I'm pretty worried about driving it when the snow/ice hits as I don't want to get stranded on the M25 like 40 miles from home or something lol - I'm keeping the Golf on the road to help out with snowy days and then it's going into storage for a while. I hope this community is as lively as the VAG community! Az Last edited by AzRiz; 01-14-2019 at 08:48 AM.. |

Welcome!
Love the colour! Always see black, white & silver round my way and nice to be different. Look forward to seeing the mods go on, like what you have done with the Golf. |

Thanks dude, VW is very cool in its own right but so far I am liking the world of BMW much more due to the RWD and balanced chassis! LOL thanks man, the Beemer is due most of the usual expected mods such as a few body parts (front lip, spoiler, maybe dual exhaust) as well as stance (but not too low - needs to remain practical and comfy which the Golf very much is not!) and simple engine mods such as some breathing mods and a remap. Oh and wheels, of course!

Welcome & must say I'm loving that red. Think its the first red I've seen on LCI. Stands out I'm sure & can imagine a striking contrast to the xenon running lights - enjoy. |

Thanks man, I don't use the A10 (used to use the A12 and A406 regularly until a few months ago) but there have been many silver MK4s pop up that look annoyingly similar to mine since I built my look about 5 years ago. That is one of the main reasons that I have bought this new car!
