Seriously though, the pan with integrated filter is like 120. Zf recommends replacing both the fluid and filter. I'm about to,do,it on my 335d, and I've done it on my X5 4.8i which has the same transmission. The X5 has 92k miles and shifts better now.
Labour times as well shouldn't be much different I'm assuming? Or atleast not a night and day difference

Sometimes get a delay, almost like hunting for next gear, 2nd to 3rd. The way I have to eliminate this scenario is by letting slightly off the throttle right before I feel it will shift.
So I have a similar concern... the 335d I have, will make stiff up shifts and they vary if you are not accelerating around 2000 rpm or more... Anything less and the shift quality is quite poor almost like you’re driving the car under sport mode but it feels like the car doesn’t know how to shift in low rpms or just dosemt know how to do it smother. Will be doing a fluid, filter and sleeve seals change soon. I’m positive it won’t really change anything. I’m willing to bet that the MAF will need cleaning the less air flow the less dirty sensors can calculate. I’m assuming... Also should I get transmission tuning if it’s giving these signs and symptoms? I do plan to alphabet delete soon as well. With stage 2.8 tune. Should I leave transmission software alone?

Delayed kick over 1st and 2nd and third

Hi I was wondering if anyone has advice for me. I bought a 2011 e90 320i and I have been building the car up as I had to replace engine and gearbox from the previous owners neglection. I finally got the car to drive without errors except that when I drive, the car kicks over by 3000 - 4000 rpms in first and second gear and then I have to hit 3000rpms for the other gears. I recently replaced oil in the gearbox and did brakes over. When I done the brakes the car started kicking over normal again (1500 rpm kick over) but then after two weeks of driving started again with the 4000 rpm changing. Sport mode also does not want to work anymore and it stays in drive.

Will appreciate any advice! Thanks!!!

Look at this for your Sport mode issue.
