Just a tip for anyone else replacing an axle and a hub. It’s difficult getting a new axle into an old hub, but seemingly impossible with a new hub. No matter what I did, I couldn’t seem to the get the stub to stick far enough out of the hub to gab it with the axle nut. I certainly wasn’t going to buy the BMW special tools kit in ISTA to drive out/pull in the axle. However…

This kit is the cheapest it’s been in a while and makes it a non-event. $70 well spent.
