Can you help me. I'm trying to do the same thing.

Did you end up using the same 4 wires for the display and the controller?

Is this connection working in every bmw e90, mine from 2008. I bought an android screen and it has no plug for the idrive I bought optional (seller says it work with idrive). My idrive has a 4 pin connector.

I only have radio in the car from before.

Did not work to do like this in my car. The car went nuts, a lot of noice, no lights and it should go to service it flashed in the display. What went wrong? Idrive was red so it has 12v and ground but the problem is the green/orange CAN cable.

Should it be about 5V in I think pin 11 (or pin 9)
