What model? 57mm on both 328/335.
On performance brakes on 328/330 there are 6 pistons, not sure diameter of each.
Piston diameter is engraved on ATE pads.

Still buy the e90 ones since it's the right length. The threading into the caliper is pretty universal. I have the ECS SS lines on mine.

I recommend buying the ECS or Turner exact fit lines. The stoptech and normal ECS ones don't really fit correctly IMO. They just use a washer instead of locking into the brackets like stock ones do. While it probably wouldn't happen nothing is really stopping them from turning and loosening in the brackets.

I returned the stoptech lines and got the ECS exact fit ones! It is only $20-30 more IIRC so I don't see the point of getting the ones that don't fit like stock.

The exact fit lines from ECS are nice. I would have preferred them to be black but that is a minor thing...

The stock lines have a notch in them so they fit the brackets. They are held in by the spring clip so a round fitting with no notches on the front could turn and loosen.

The stoptech lines are round and just have a washer on one side because it uses a generic fitting. The spring clip doesn't really fully tighten so the line isn't as secure. I am sure it works but it just isn't as nice as the exact fit ones IMO.

My impressions so far of the 370/345 (e60 rotor) bbk

its a decent upgrade, main thing is fixed calipers. so before the rear pad would overheat 1st and cause crazy vibrations, so i tried just the rear 1st which added another 20% time before the front would cook and vibrate also. so with full bbk i never get any vibration under braking. m3 master is a must with full bbk otherwise it felt worst and had more travel than stock brakes.

its a donkey size caliper setup but pad surface area is small so pad quality will play a big part if tracking and because of its donkey design, it stick out a lot from the hub so verify wheel fitment.

370mm pad are actually less aggressive (they suck) than the 340mm but all rear pad compound is same as 370mm front compound from my research.

running srf and even still getting a little weeping at bleeder threads, next is TI shims, more brake ducting and better pads.

good value for full bbk BUT in hindsight would I have paid more to get more, Yeah

There are 3 different pad compounds:

1. Base for North American market. No dust, crappy feel.
2. S2NHA: Euro version. That is one you want. Aggressive feel. Dust comes complimentary.
3. P337: 370mm pad From my research, same compound as Base.

Since all pads are same shape and size, S2NHA is a must for performance upgrades.

Is there a clear reason no one has retro-fitted the complete F3x rear corner? I don't see an issue, unless spline count is different...and a good deal of labor. This is the way I'm going on my 135i, after previously mounting the E9x rear hub mod, in order to get some tires and wheels worth a d*%n.

Whew... last time I was in this thread was 2018 and I'm basically asking the same questions... somehow I know less about this BBK setup than I did back then. Has there been any developments or new parts released by BMW on the newest generations of cars that would make my dreams a reality?

Anyone know if these will clear Stock M-Sports (Style 193)?

Also, I will be going full M3 Suspension in the rear for LSD and upgraded axles; someone mentioned earlier in the thread that Rear M-Performance are direct bolt on to M3 knuckle; can anyone vouch for that?
That way I’d have even more incentive to keep the M3 rear knuckles when I drop the subframe instead of swapping over my 335i knuckles/brakes. I’d save me the hassle of pounding half-shafts

Here is the info that I gathered for the F80 swap which is different in the front than the F30 swap... I believe that the F30 is an easier swap with the 335i front spindles and F80 needs a true F80 spindle. (of course using an F30 spindle is also possible with the F30 swap but it can work with the 335 spindle). If using e90 M3 front shocks then I think the newer spindle is needed for for either F30 or F80 because of different caliper mounting points compared to the e90 M3.

The calipers are different between the F30 and F80 due to the mounting offsets. So to go true F80 it would require a front spindle swap. I believe the rear calipers are the same and just need a washer between them and the e90 M3 rear spindle. This does require the e90 M3 rear spindle or you would need offset bushings to run the 335 version.

https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1713861
(and the link to the all in one writeup from that thread: https://www.tdott.me/2020/04/project...on-e92-m3.html)

Another good bit of info:
https://www.turnermotorsport.com/t-b...ke-Differences

Make sure to swap out the master cylinder from 335i to M3 aswell.

I will be using 335i front shocks/tubes/spindles. While the F80 spindles sound like they may also consequentially offer increased handling performance alone, I will probably be sticking to the F30 setup (if even possible with Style 193s) due to ease of installation and your links reporting that a 19" wheel is mandatory for the 6-Pot F80 brakes. It is mostly to fit the blingy Blue calipers, just so happens to be a performance upgrade even with the smaller 4-Pot F30 brakes; best of both worlds

I have rear M3 knuckles sitting on a K frame for LSD swap. I was going to replace them with my 335i knuckles to retain my stock 335i brakes but if this upgrade is possible then I may get use out of the M3 spindles. I believe feuer reported back then that there were no rotor options available for the Rear F30 brakes on M3 knuckles. Has that changed in the span of 5 years? If it has that would be amazing considering he also reported Rear F30 brakes to be effectively plug-and-play on the rear M3 knuckles

F8x 370mm rears work with the E9x M3 knuckles and a few washers/spacers.

Anyone recommend what the best brake hoses would be to go for as on my 335i the front oe hoses did fit but on the tight side and hoses a little longer would be perfect.
