Do you have to professionally have a tune removed?

So I had a Dinan Stage 2 done on my 2011 335xi e90 about 2 years ago, and since than I have installed a 5" VRSF Intercooler, Injen Cold air Intake, Charge pipe, new turbo/clutch, and have a muffler delete with an xpipe which came from the factory. I Would Like to upgrade to an MHD Stage 2 or 3 tune to gain more hp, but I dont want to go ahead and plug in the new tune with the current one still existing. So would I have to go to a dealership or other shop to have this Dinan tune removed before I install the MHD? Nobody over the phone was the slightest bit helpful so I hope you guys can help

You can write the stock tune back with WinKFP, but it has risks.

If you're using MHD, then the MHD will write over the map, regardless.

From there, you can use MHD to flash back to stock (NON-Dinan tune).

Otherwise, you could simply use MHD to flash the stock DME's BIN file for your vehicle, which are readily available.

so you can reflash back to OEM stock and/or back Dinan mapping? if so thats pretty neat. Dinan wanted to charge me another hour labor to flash back to OEM mapping.

No,

MHD has the default tune for your vehicle based on your VIN/DME. Any Dinan tune will be lost.
