Adaptive headlights

Hey guys looking for a starting point here I'm getting an adaptive headlight error on the car. It's been on since I bought the car the previous owner said it was because he changed the headlight. Can any point me where to look to start trouble shooting

Sad this is here so long to not have a response. The adaptive control module is very finicky and easily shorts out should any water get in... Water easily gets in after a headlight or angel eye light etc gets changed out. the watertight door is the worst design ever. Even sadder the adaptive control motor etc is vin coded to the car. So a quick swap of the part isn't so easy as it must be recoded at the dealership. Most newer cars have gone away from the motor idea and switched to turning on an additional light as the water and motor failure was so common.
