Time for me to do the brakes on my E90. I've already decided on rotors and pads and I was about to pull the trigger on a combination of BMW and ATE hardware to complete the job, but ran across the Raybestos and Centric offerings for items like caliper guide bolts, guide bushings and anti-rattle clips. The price difference is staggering. Using ATE parts for the front brakes I'm pushing $100 for guide bolts, bushings and anti-rattle clips for both sides. In contrast, using Raybestos guide bolts with Centric anti-rattle clips and guide bushings I'm looking at under $25.00.
Has anyone used non-OE parts here and what has your experience been?

Replaced the factory BMW brake pads (all 4) on mine the other day with BOSCH. No complaints here.

I have used aftermarket brake parts for years on my 328i with good luck...

I've had good luck with Centric ceramic brake pads. Really helps cut down on some of the brake dust.

When I got my car it has factory pads and rotors and felt great. Ten did all 4 brakes with Centric rotors and centric pads and my pedal had like an inch of travel before having a good bite. Thought I maybe fuged the brake flush so I did second brake flush including BMW ABS ISTA flush nothing.

This year had to changed brakes again because I warped the hell out of them and got Meyle rotors and Textar pads and wow my original pedal feel is back.

I might try some ceramic pads next to see if pedal feel remains the same to cut on dust a little bit but having had this experience I'm abit afraid of switching pads to something that'll make my first inch of pedal feel mushy.

I'm a big fan of the Centric posiquiet ceramic pads and centric high carbon rotors with black coating. The pads come with all the hardware you need (rattle clips and new rubber bushings). I've used them and had no issues, hard to say how they would compare to the OEM stuff. I'm sure new aftermarket bushings are still better than used OEM hardware. I've even used the centric pads on a few track days and they held up surprisingly well to the high temp abuse even though they are clearly an daily driving pad. I've tried a lot of brake options on my car over the years and for the money I personally feel like they are the best value/performance option for our car, especially at rockauto pricing (I'm Canadian and even with the exchange, import duties and shipping costs they still are well priced!).
