n43b20a 316i to 318i upgrade

Hello guys, i have seen quite a few 316/318/320 n43b20a engines the only physical difference i noticed between them is that 320 is spiting in to 2 banks and thus have 1 extra lambda sensor on extra bank. On the other side 316 and 318 looks identical for me even injector part numbers are the same, my question would be is the only difference between 316i to 318i power class? If so would power class change alone increase engine power?

No 4 cylinders in the USA for the E9x .
On most of these boards the members are 90 percent or higher
US users. We only got 6 cylinders here so expertise on the 4's
is almost non existent.
If you look on the e90post motor sub forum there are no 4's listed.
If you can find a Euro specific board or subforum you may have more
luck.
