and it's expensive because it's bmw stuff. Any quality kit is going to cost some money. look at prices for the E46 SC kits for example. If you want a $2k-$3k supercharger kit, you are just going to have to buy a honda.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the deal is with the anti-taiwan products on this forum...

Regardless, I agree that $5k is the upper end of what most people would be willing to pay for this kit. I'm not sure why it's so high priced... maybe their R&D was out of the roof for this product? Maybe their manufacturing costs are very high? I doubt either is the case though...

hahaha, third world country is not an insult. Most countries in the Asian continent are third world countries. Look at Singapore and how advanced it is! It is still a third world country.. =)

Actually I do know, there are multiple products that are high quality made in both Taiwan and China, but I am just saying that it is not reliable for this 'industry'. For cars especially BMW, I personally wouldn't trust. If I was using a Civic, I probably would because it is the right appeal to "Authority". There s a difference between specific reliability and in general.

This is the point I was trying to make.. I mean if G-power was doing this kit, which would cost alot more, we would have less concerns about reliability.

when saying third world countries what comes through my mind is those african countries and some of the country in middle east..and some countries in southern asia.(correct me if im wrong about the middle east tho..)
anyway.. I just thought its wrong hearing taiwan is a third world country.. since im taiwanese and yea thats just my opinion..
anyway, I agree with you guys that german cars will be better with german or euro aftermarket stuff.. and that 8k is a bit too much.

I mean I've seen many japanese cars with superchargers or turbos, like civics etc, but we dnt really wanna screw our car over.. They are much more ex than certain jap cars

Wouldn't the gains on the 325i and 330i be the same? (US models)
After the supercharger they make the same power.
They are both 3.0li. You are replacing the ecu anyway.
Or is there something I am missing?

In asia the 325i is a 2.5L so in usa the 325 with the proper manifold will be at the 330i level.

I tried to find a price for this, but came up empty handed except the range of 8k to 10k from what I have read here.

whats the difference in price for the Haman 3.2 litre upgrade and this? both obviously expensive to buy and install...
